One Woman Show

It's been awhile since I've talked about myself here so let's do it! ...
I talked a little about my story the other day and how Elle & Co came about!
But today, I wanted to tell you about my background!
Elle & Co the Storefront has been open since October of 2017 and I truly love this job because of all of the amazing positivity and joy I can bring to other's lives!
Outside of the Boutique, I am first and foremost a wife to my hubby Tom and Mommy to Mason and Elle! On top of that, we have Lexie Girl (the maltese) that is about to be 8 and Millie our new toy poodle puppy that is 11 weeks old. There's 4 fish and a snail too, but who's counting! hahaha
Tom Hates Photos - So I won't embarrass him too much!
I moved to Harrison, Arkansas in November of 2011 - to be with my now husband Tom! He and his family own a car dealership and that was his future. I was right out of Grad School, so I could go anywhere. I knew I had to give it a shot if we were ever going to work out, so I took the leap and moved to town.
I had just graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design with my Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Photography. I had been through TWO LONG YEARS of grad school, a very toxic and negative environment. I don't regret it, but I wish I had been able to step back and step away from that dream. I always wanted to work for a Magazine and Travel, but I knew that I couldn't do that if I wanted to have a family.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Ole Miss (The University of Mississippi). I was born and raised in Senatobia, Mississippi and I'm proud of where I come from, nor will I ever FORGET where I come from.
I came to town, couldn't get a real job to save my soul - "you're too over qualified" is what everyone would tell me. I finally settled in a job that I was actually really excited about at the Chamber of Commerce as the Events Coordinator. And everything I learned there has helped me to be an even better boutique owner.
Fast Foward to 2013, Tom and I got married YAY!
And then came Mason in 2014...and gahhh was he just beautiful!
So.. after a full time job at the college in town, where I still work part time as an adjunct instructor teaching Art Appreciation, I decided to stay at home with Mason for a while. But, of course, I got ants in my pants - I had always worked. I couldn't just be a Mom. So there came Elle & Co! I started it in 2014 out of my house - I did different things over the years, but the Storefront opening in 2017 was such a good move for my soul. It has really brought me so much joy!
With all that said, I'm just a normal person - I'm not making millions or even close. I do this because I enjoy it! I want it to grow, but I always want it to be personal. With all of my background education and experiences, I feel like being a boutique owner is the perfect "job" for me because I can use ALL of my talents in one place!
So cheers to Elle & Co! Thank you for being here and I hope that you always reach out if you ever need anything!
