Be In Love With YOU
It's hard being a woman. We all know this. Feeling beautiful may come rare for some women but that doesn't mean they aren't. I'll tell you a secret though, you don't have to give in to the pressures of society. Makeup. No makeup. Sweats. Dress. Heels. Sneakers. No matter the outfit or whatever brand you are wearing... you were made to be awesome.
The love for yourself comes within, so use these special tips to bring out the love for yourself.
Look yourself in the mirror everyday and tell yourself all the things you love about yourself. It can be the color of your eyes. Your teeth. Your hair. ANYTHING. Just make sure you tell yourself you love it.
Don't put yourself down for eating too many carbs. THEY DO NOT DEFINE YOU. It's great that you are trying to watch what you eat but putting yourself down for eating something you don't think you should is going to make you feel wayyyyy worse than what those extra carbs are gonna do.
Stop comparing yourself to other people, you were made uniquely fearfully and wonderfully. NOBODY is the same. Different looks. Different stories. Different backgrounds. We were all made differently, so the thing you're comparing to the other girl, she's probably doing the same to you. Embrace the difference.
Stop seeking validation from other people, at the end of the day you're the only one who really knows you. It's crazy at how only YOU know your story, but yet still crash when the words of someone else hurt. Only listen to yourself, because like said before, only you know yourself.
Wash, wash, wash your face! (Another article on a great routine coming soon). Make your skin happy and you'll feel SO GREAT. Your face needs love after long hard days, especially on days you aren't happy with your appearance. So always clean it before you go to bed and when you wake up so you will get a good night's rest and then feel ready for the day!
Take time for YOURSELF. Yes, your kids need you, but they also need a mom who loves herself. Yes, you have school work, but you'll perform better if you're relaxed. Yes, your life is crazy, but there's time, I promise. Taking time for yourself is almost a necessity. Take a hot bath with the door locked. Play your favorite music and dance like no one is watching. Get your hair or nails done. Go shopping. Take a nap. Just relax. The weight of being go go go takes a toll.
DRINK WATER. Your mood, skin, and body all around will thank you. Water will not only keep you hydrated but it will flush all the bad toxins out of your body. There is seriously nothing healthier. You'll feel so much better!
And the most important- Practice positive self talk. You can either be your number one fan or your biggest enemy. Instead of saying, "I'll never be able to achieve that" try asking yourself "What can I do to help myself achieve this?" Another example would be, "I'm not good at this", so ask yourself instead "What am I missing?" Don't be your own enemy. Be your teammate. Your friend. Your motivator. Train your brain to think positive even in negative situations. Once you enforce positive thinking on your brain, it will always be a habit.
Be kind to yourself. There's only one you, and not only are you sacred but a divine creation and you should treat yourself with anything but less.
